This class provides the opportunity to become part of a creative writing collective, in charge of a small ‘zine. This publication is comprised entirely of written work (and hand drawn designs) created and edited by the members of the group.

This innovative way of working enables learners to have a direct creative outlet/way of sharing their creative writing and ideas in a way that they can feel proud of. It also helps to develop a sense of ownership over their work as well as offering local communities a chance to share in some of the amazing work created.

This course can be delivered as a rolling class or as a short term project - with the final product being their professionally printed short 'zine.

In order to create content for the publication students will learn about different types of creative writing (or story-telling) and the tools that we can use to improve our creative practice. They will also have the opportunity to incorporate art and design skills - giving their publication its own unique identity.

This course also provides an opportunity for students to bring creative writing work that they are already working on and get support and guidance in order to develop and expand their own diverse range of ideas. This class will also act in-part as a writer’s group - with the aim of developing a supportive community of peers who can help to provide each other with thoughtful feedback and support. Each student will also get one-to-one support and guidance in order to further the development of their creative writing.

This class teaches a broad range of creative writing disciplines and is highly tailorable to the needs of your learners.

Note that all classes can be provided for different levels of need and can accommodate your learners.
